Overview#
You can integrate Telegram notifications to receive real-time updates on status changes during file transfer tasks.
After completing the integration, notification messages are automatically sent to the designated Telegram channel or group whenever designated events occur, such as a transfer being Started, Completed, or Failed.
The entire process proceeds in the following order: ① Obtain a Bot Token → ② Check the target Chat ID → ③ Configure notifications in the product.
Prerequisites#
Before you begin, check the following.

| Target channel/group | Prepare the channel or group that will receive notifications, then add the created bot. (Administrator permission is required for channels.) |
| Network | Outbound HTTPS communication to api.telegram.org (443) must be allowed from the environment where the product is installed. |
Obtain a Telegram Bot Token#
To receive notifications via Telegram, create a bot using BotFather and obtain a Bot Token.
Step 1. Open BotFather#
In Telegram, search for @BotFather (the officially verified account), or open the address below and click Start.

Step 2. Create a Bot#
Enter the /newbot command, then enter the bot's Display Name and Username in order.
The username must end with bot.

Step 3. Copy the Bot Token#
Copy the Bot Token issued by BotFather.
Example:
1234567890:ABCDEF...ℹ️ A Bot Token is sensitive information, similar to a password. Anyone who knows the value can control the bot, so make sure it is not exposed in public repositories, chats, screenshots, or other external locations. If the Bot Token is exposed, revoke it and issue a new token through BotFather.
Checklist#
- ✔ A bot has been created in BotFather.
- ✔ The Bot Token has been copied and stored securely.
Check the Target Chat ID#
Check the Chat ID of the target that will receive notifications.
The bot must be added to the target channel or group before it can send messages.
Step 1. Add the Bot#
- Channel : Add the created bot as an Administrator.
- Group : Add the created bot as a group member.
Step 2. Check the Chat ID#
Send a message to the target channel or group, then open the address below in a browser.

The Chat ID for channels and supergroups starts with -100.
Example:
-1001234567890Alternatively, you can use a Telegram Bot such as @getidsbot to check the Chat ID.
Checklist#
- ✔ The bot has been added to the target channel or group.
- ✔ The Chat ID has been confirmed.
Telegram Notification Settings#
Enter the issued Bot Token and Chat ID in the product's notification settings.
When you open the Notifications settings window, the following screen is displayed.
Step 1. Enter the Telegram Bot Token#
Enter the copied Bot Token in the Telegram Bot Token field.
Step 2. Enter the Chat ID / Channel ID#
Enter the confirmed Chat ID in the Chat ID / Channel ID field.
Step 3. Select Notification Events#
Select the events for which you want to receive notifications under Events.
You can select multiple events, and messages are sent only when the selected events occur.

| Skipped | When a specific file is skipped (Example: an existing file or a file matching a filter condition) |
Step 4. Save the Settings#
After completing the input, click Add to save the integration.
Checklist#
- ✔ The Telegram Bot Token has been entered.
- ✔ The Chat ID / Channel ID has been entered.
- ✔ The events for which notifications will be received have been selected.
Verify the Integration#
Verify that the settings are working correctly.
Step 1. Trigger a Test Event#
Run an actual transfer task or trigger one of the selected events.
Step 2. Check the Telegram Channel or Group#
Check whether a notification message has arrived in the designated Telegram channel or group.
Checklist#
- ✔ A notification has arrived in the Telegram channel or group.
- ✔ The triggered event was delivered accurately.
Setup Complete#
Once the settings are saved, the integration is applied.
After that, notification messages are automatically sent to the designated Telegram channel or group whenever the selected events occur.
Troubleshooting#
If messages do not arrive, check the following items.

| A message does not arrive | Check whether the Bot Token and Chat ID were entered correctly. |
| The bot cannot send messages | Check whether the bot has been added to the target. (Administrator for channels, member for groups.) |
The Chat ID cannot be found (getUpdates is empty) |
Check whether the bot was added to the target and whether a message was sent in the target at least once. Channel and supergroup IDs start with -100. |
| Messages are not posted to the channel | Check whether the bot has permission to post messages as an administrator. |
| Integration fails in a closed network | Check whether outbound HTTPS communication to api.telegram.org (443) is allowed by the firewall or proxy. |
