BUSINESS FILE TRANSFER
File transfers, run by
the people who need them.
No server settings and no waiting on IT: choose the files you need on a screen that is already set up, and start the transfer.
From your own teams to outside partners, people start transfers within their permissions and follow the progress and the result themselves.

READY-TO-RUN TRANSFERS
The hard part is prepared once,
and running it is simple.
An engineer configures the source, the destination and the transfer conditions in INNORIX Studio.
In the Portal a business user only picks the transfer they are allowed to run, and runs it. No server addresses, no transfer options to set.

SIMPLE FILE SELECTION
Choose the files you need,
and where they go.
Users choose the files to send from the devices and paths they are allowed, and name one of the prepared destinations.
Depending on the kind of transfer, choosing the files is enough to run it, or the approval and the execution window are shown before it starts.
Files are chosen from the allowed paths on a connected device -- they are not uploaded from the user’s own PC.

PARTNER ACCESS
Partners run their transfers
on the same prepared screen.
There is no procedure to explain to each partner, and no server credentials to hand out.
An outside user with permission runs the transfers allowed to them in their Portal, and follows the progress and results they are shown.

The point is that partner A never sees partner B's transfer jobs.
APPROVALS & CONTROL
Who may send what,
when, and where.
The transfers a user or a partner may run, and the devices they may reach, can be limited per person.
An important transfer can ask for approval or run only inside a permitted window, so the experience stays simple while the policy holds.

LIVE PROGRESS
Once it is running,
the state is in plain sight.
The files in flight and the progress per device can be followed as the transfer runs.
A job already running does not have to be started again -- the Portal leads to its current progress, and shows what finished and what failed.

ONE PLATFORM
Engineers configure it,
business users run it.
Devices, transfer flows, permissions and execution conditions are configured in INNORIX Studio; the Portal gives business users and partners the screen they need.
Engineers run the whole operation from Studio, and business users run only the transfer their work needs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Can business users run file transfers themselves?
Yes. In INNORIX Portal a business user runs the file transfers an engineer prepared. They pick the transfer they are allowed to run, check the files and the destination, and start it.
What is INNORIX Portal?
INNORIX Portal is the working interface where business users and outside partners run prepared device-to-device file transfers and follow their progress. Connecting devices and building transfer flows is done in Studio.
Can people without IT knowledge use it?
Yes. Once an administrator has configured the paths and the execution conditions, nobody has to set a server address, a protocol or a transfer option -- the transfer runs from a working screen.
Can files be exchanged with outside partners?
Yes. Connect the partner’s device to the transfer environment and grant the access it needs, and partner users run the transfers allowed to them in the Portal. Paths and scope can differ per partner.
Do partners need server credentials?
Usually not. Where an administrator has prepared the device connection and the path, partner users run the allowed work in the Portal they are given. The first device connection or an authentication setup may still be needed.
Can users choose the files and the destination themselves?
They can, within the devices, paths and destinations the administrator allows. It does not mean every transfer lets the user change the destination freely.
Can a transfer require an approval first?
A transfer with an approval condition can be set to run only once approved. Which work runs straight away and which needs approval follows your own policy.
Can transfers be allowed only at certain times?
An execution window can be applied to a transfer -- during business hours, or inside a range you set in advance.
Can progress be followed while a transfer runs?
Yes. The Portal shows the progress and the state of the transfer. For distribution and collection it shows what each device has finished and what failed.
What happens if a transfer that is already running is started again?
Where the same work is already running, a second run can be held back and the user led to the monitoring screen of the one in progress. How a duplicate is judged follows the transfer and the policy.
What is the difference between Portal and Studio?
Studio is where engineers configure and manage devices, transfer flows, automation and policy. Portal is where business users and partners run prepared transfers and follow their progress. Both are part of the same INNORIX Platform.
Can files be uploaded or downloaded directly in the Portal?
The Portal runs and monitors transfers between connected devices. Uploading or downloading from a user’s own PC over the web is INNORIX EX, a separate area; bringing it into a Portal calls for additional integration.
