Overview#

You can configure monday.com integration to automatically create board items for file transfer task status changes.

After completing the integration, an item is automatically created on the specified monday.com board whenever designated events occur, such as a transfer being Started (Transfer Started) or Completed (Transfer Completed), or a device being Connected (Device Connected) or Disconnected (Device Disconnected).

The entire process proceeds in the following order: ① Obtain a monday.com API Token → ② Check the Target Board ID → ③ Configure the Integration in the Product.

Prerequisites#

Before you begin, check the following.

Item Description
monday.com account A monday.com account that can access and edit the target board is required. The API Token has the same permissions as the account.
Target board Prepare the monday.com board where items will be created in advance.
Network Outbound HTTPS communication to api.monday.com (443) must be allowed from the environment where the product is installed.

Obtain a monday.com API Token#

To create items in monday.com, obtain a personal API Token.

Step 1. Open the Developer Center#

Click the profile picture in the upper-right corner and select Developers.

The Developer Center opens in a new tab.

Developer Center entry screen

Step 2. Copy the API Token#

Under My Access Tokens (or API Token), click Show and copy the displayed token.

The token is generally in JWT format and starts with eyJ.

ℹ️ This token has the same permissions as the account, so treat it like a password and make sure it is not exposed in public repositories or external documents. If it is exposed, use Regenerate in the Developer Center to invalidate the existing token.

Checklist#

  • ✔ The API Token has been confirmed in the Developer Center.
  • ✔ The API Token has been copied securely.

Check the Target Board ID#

Check the ID of the target board where items will be created.

Step 1. Check the Board ID#

When you open the target board, the number following /boards/ in the browser address bar URL is the Board ID.

https://<account>.monday.com/boards/<Board ID>

Configure monday.com Integration#

Enter the copied API Token in the Monday API Token field.

Step 2. Enter the Board ID#

Step 3. Select Events#

Select the events to monitor under Events.

You can select multiple events, and items are created in monday.com only when the selected events occur.

Event When It Occurs
Transfer Started When the transfer task starts
Transfer Completed When the transfer is completed successfully
Transfer Paused When the transfer is temporarily paused
Transfer Recovered When the transfer is automatically recovered and resumed after an interruption or error
Device Connected When a device is connected
Device Disconnected When a device is disconnected

Step 4. Save the Settings#

After completing the input, click Add to save the integration.

Checklist#

  • ✔ The Monday API Token has been entered.
  • ✔ The Board ID has been entered.
  • ✔ The events to monitor have been selected.

Verify the Integration#

Verify that the settings are working correctly.
