Atlassian Trello Notification Integration

Overview

You can integrate Atlassian Trello notifications to automatically create Trello cards for status changes during file transfer tasks.

After completing the integration, a card is automatically created in the designated Trello list whenever designated events occur, such as a transfer being Started, Completed, or Failed.

The entire process proceeds in the following order: ① Obtain an API Key / Token → ② Check the target List ID → ③ Configure notifications in the product.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, check the following.

ItemDescription
Trello accountA Trello account with permission to create a Power-Up(App) is required.
Target board/listPrepare the Trello board and list where cards will be created in advance.
NetworkOutbound HTTPS communication to api.trello.com (443) must be allowed from the environment where the product is installed.

Obtain a Trello API Key / Token

A Trello API Key is issued in connection with a Power-Up(App).

First, create a Power-Up, then obtain an API Key and Token.

Step 1. Create a Power-Up

https://trello.com/power-ups/admin 에 접속한 후 New를 클릭합니다.

Enter the required information, such as the Power-Up name, then click Create to create the Power-Up.

Step 2. Obtain an API Key

In the API Key tab of the Power-Up you created, select Generate a new API Key.

Copy the generated API Key.

ℹ️ The Secret displayed on the same screen is used for OAuth 1.0 authentication and is not required for this integration.

Step 3. Obtain a Token

Click the Token link next to the API Key.

When the permission request screen appears, select Allow, then copy the issued Token.

ℹ️ The API Key identifies the application, while the Token has permission to access the account, so it must be managed securely like a password. If the Token is exposed, it can be revoked at any time in the Trello account settings.

Checklist

  • ✔ The Power-Up has been created.
  • ✔ The API Key has been copied.
  • ✔ The Token has been copied.

Check the Target List ID

Check the ID of the target list where cards will be created.

Step 1. Check from the Board JSON

Open the target board in a browser, then add .json to the end of the address and open it again.

https://trello.com/b/<boardId>.json

Find the desired list in the displayed JSON data and check the id value of that item.

Step 2. Check via API (Optional)

Using the issued API Key and Token, you can retrieve list information through the API below.
