AI AGENT FILE TRANSFER

Your AI agent runs
the file transfer too.

When an AI agent needs a file part way through its work, it can run the transfer between your servers and cloud storage through INNORIX.

Instead of writing the code that fetches the file and the code that checks whether it arrived, connect a file transfer tool to the agent. Once the data is there, the work continues.

CONNECT YOUR AGENT

Add file transfer
to the AI agent you already run.

Connect INNORIX MCP to your existing AI agent project. Let the agent call the file lookup and transfer tools and moving files between servers and storage becomes part of its work — with no transfer engine of your own to build.

  1. Configure MCPAdd INNORIX to the agent project's list of MCP servers.
  2. Check the toolsConfirm the file lookup and transfer tools the agent detected.
  3. Test a callCall the transfer tool from an example workflow.

AGENT WORKFLOW

The moment a file is needed,
the agent fetches it.

If the analysis has started but the data it needs is on another server, the agent can locate the file and transfer it into the working environment.

Rather than splitting file preparation off as manual work, join the lookup, the transfer result and the next task into one agent run.

DYNAMIC TRANSFER DECISIONS

New file, new destination,
no code change.

When the file and the target server depend on when the work runs, the agent can read the input conditions and decide which file goes where.

Instead of writing another script that only handles one fixed file name and one fixed destination, let the agent handle the variety through INNORIX's transfer tools.

MULTI-SYSTEM OPERATIONS

One agent,
files across many systems.

Collecting logs from servers in several regions, or distributing analysis results to several systems, can be part of the agent's work too.

Use INNORIX's device-to-device transfers to run multi-target distribution and collection, and watch each target's progress and result.

EXECUTION CONTROL

Requesting a transfer
is not finishing one.

An AI agent asking for a file transfer is not a reason to start the next task. Have it confirm that the request was accepted and that the files actually moved before the next step runs.

If the transfer fails, or some targets did not finish, return that result to the agent and let it decide what to do next.

GOVERNANCE & VISIBILITY

A transfer the agent ran
is still yours to control and trace.

Giving an AI agent transfer tools does not change who governs it: real device access and transfer execution stay under INNORIX's authentication and permission policy.

Transfers the agent ran are visible in Studio, leaving an operational record of which file moved between which devices.

TECHNICAL FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I use INNORIX from an AI agent?

Connect INNORIX MCP to a supported agent runtime and have the agent's workflow call the file lookup, transfer and status tools.

How is this different from sending a file straight from ChatGPT?

Using ChatGPT and the like centres on a person asking the AI to transfer something. The AI agent approach is designed so that the agent calls the transfer tool at the point it is needed, inside a process a developer has built.

Can I connect it to my existing agent framework?

The framework's MCP support and the authentication and call specification of the INNORIX tools have to be compatible. Support has to be confirmed per development environment.

Can the agent find the file to transfer by itself?

Files can be searched and chosen as a transfer target within the file lookup features MCP provides and the user's permissions.

Can the target server change at run time?

The agent can be set up to choose the target device from the connected devices and transfer conditions it is allowed. What it can actually choose from follows the permissions and the tool specification.

Can I stop the next task running before the transfer finishes?

Separate an accepted transfer request from an actual completion state, and design the agent workflow to run the next task only after confirming the completion result.

Can it distribute to or collect from several devices?

You can use the multi-target transfer features INNORIX supports. How they are called over MCP and the conditions for running them have to be confirmed against the tools provided.

How are an AI agent's device access rights managed?

Limit the scope of access with the credentials used for the agent connection and with INNORIX's device and transfer permissions.

Can I see a record of the transfers the agent ran?

Transfer state and results can be seen in the execution records in INNORIX Studio. How far an agent run can be tied to a transfer record by identifier depends on the implementation.

Does the AI model handle or store the file data itself?

INNORIX's device-to-device transfer path and the tool responses passed to the AI model are separate things. Whether the actual file content reaches the AI service depends on the agent implementation and the tool settings, so confirm the data handling policy.
