BUSINESS USER FILE TRANSFER
Let the business run
its own file transfers.
You do not have to ask IT every time a file has to go to another server or be collected from several systems.
Through INNORIX Portal, pick a transfer job that has already been prepared, choose the files and the destination you need, and run it yourself. Progress and results appear on the same screen.
READY-TO-RUN TRANSFER
No complex setup,
just pick the files you need.
What a business user has to do is simple. Open the transfer job that has been prepared, choose the files and the destination within what is permitted, and run it.
Server connections, transfer routes and business policy are configured in advance, so the user can concentrate only on the choices their work actually needs.

BUSINESS-SPECIFIC PORTALS
One screen per job,
with only what that job needs.
Not every business user needs the same transfer features.
Report distribution, field data collection, large file movement — the input fields and the steps to run can be configured differently for each purpose.
Because a user only sees and runs what their own work needs, there is no complex file transfer management screen to learn.

CONTROLLED EXECUTION
The user chooses;
the scope is decided in advance.
A business user running a file transfer themselves does not mean they should be able to reach every server and every file.
Once an engineer has set the connected devices, the permitted paths and the destinations that can be chosen, the user can only do the work that falls inside that scope.
Hide the complex system settings and offer only the choices the work needs.

APPROVAL & TIME WINDOWS
Approval and timing,
the way your process works.
An important file transfer can be configured to run only after the responsible person has approved it, or only within a designated time.
A business user does not have to set up the operational policy themselves: they request the transfer through the prepared process and check its current state.

LIVE TRANSFER MONITORING
Watch the transfer you started
through to the end.
Once a file transfer has started you do not have to ask IT how it is going.
Check the current state and the result in the Portal; if the job is already running and you try to start it again, you can move to the existing run screen and monitor it there.

STUDIO & PORTAL
Engineers configure it;
the business runs it.
In Studio, an engineer configures the devices, the transfer route and the conditions for running. In the Portal, a business user picks a prepared transfer and runs it.
Separating configuration from execution means business users carry out the file transfers their work needs without being exposed to complex system management features.

TECHNICAL FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Who is INNORIX Portal for?
It lets business users who are not IT staff, or any user who has been granted permission, run pre-configured device-to-device file transfer jobs themselves and check the results.
Does a Portal user have to configure server connections or transfer routes?
No. An engineer composes the devices, the flows and the execution conditions in Studio beforehand, and the Portal user picks a permitted item and runs it.
Can a user upload files from their own PC in the Portal?
The standard Portal is a screen for running transfer jobs between connected devices. Ordinary website file upload and download is the role of INNORIX EX, and attaching a file from a user PC in the Portal is a matter of customisation on request.
Can a business user choose the files and the destination to transfer?
The Portal can be set up so that files, paths and destinations are chosen within the scope Studio permits.
Can a separate Portal be built for each kind of work?
The input fields and the execution screen can be composed to match the purpose of the work, whether that is distribution, collection or long-distance transfer.
Can an approval step be applied before a transfer?
Use the supported approval policies to run a transfer on approval after it is requested. The actual approval steps and permission settings have to be confirmed against the product specification.
Can a transfer be limited to run only at certain times?
Supported time windows and execution policies can be applied. The specific scheduling and waiting behaviour differs by configuration.
What happens if a transfer that is already running is started again?
For work configured to limit duplicate execution, the existing execution state can be reported and the user moved to the monitoring screen.
Can transfer status and completion results be checked in the Portal?
Yes. The Portal shows the progress and the result of a transfer that is running. The status information displayed can differ by transfer type.
Can EX uploads and downloads be run directly from the Portal?
In the standard Portal, EX appears as transfer status monitoring rather than as running an upload or a download. Web user upload and download is provided through a separate INNORIX EX integration.
